OK, OK, OK, The movement of the skinny jean has lasted a little
longer then some of us may have anticipated. Over the past 2 or 3 years the
"Jean" has taken over Hip Hop, Corporate America, and High Schools all over the nation. They even sell them for toddlers, but that's another story. Back to the task at hand. So during a trip to the KOP mall I said to myself, "Self you need to experience the "SJ". But why? Shit I don't really know, maybe it was the kids hanging out in the food court, or Weezy jumping out of his Maybach rocking his. I feel like I'm a pretty fashion forward guy that doesn't following trends but, what the hell, I know I could pull it off, if I really wanted. Plus I've been in the Gym like a mad man so at least I could gauge my progress. So as I walked into the GAP I looked around for the SJ department. After looking, better yet stalling I noticed the SJ section, it was on the first table as you walked into the store. Now I was a Business Major so I took a couple marketing classes, and I would have to say they are still very relevant using the product placement theory. Now as I looked for my size (38X33) I realize that Gap actually makes a premium denim. The Jean felt pretty good with a very dark rinse that I found to be worthy yours truly. It was the 1969 series. After I put the SJ on, I was shocked, they were a little skinny, (True to its Name) but fit kind of OK. After walking to the Bigger Mirror outside the dressing room I realized I didn't feel comfortable with the fit. I think if I really loved the look I could pull it off, but with all that said the Skinny Jean isn't for me.... But if the Skinny Jean is for you def try the Gap Brand. Here some photos of my EXPERIENCE.
